The wide spread use of mobile phone networks means that almost every member of the emergency services has a private GSM mobile phone. These mobile phones can be used by notrufSMS.de. This means that all members of the emergency services can be contacted, without having to invest in expensive communications equipment. Existing communications equipment can, however, be integrated into the system. Thus, investment in communications equipment is protected. |
| SMSs are sent out from NETZING Solution AG's own Communication Centre (NCC). This communications centre guarantees high availability, high throughput rates, and the safe dispatch of the SMSs to all German mobile phone networks. The communications centre is connected to all German mobile phone networks using high performance direct data connections. It is also possible for foreign mobile phone providers to be included in the system. |
| A load sharing and monitoring system guarantees the despatch of SMSs via the most reliable and high performing connection. Approximately 600 SMSs per minute can be sent by the basic service. The next expansion stage (using larger permanent lines to the network operators) can send several thousand SMSs per minute. |
